Dunwoody Police Holding Active Shooter Survival Training
The event will be held Tuesday night from 6:30 to 8:30 at City Hall.

DUNWOODY, GA -- Dunwoody police will be providing training on how civilians can respond and survive an active shooter situation at 6:30 pm on Tuesday night at City Hall.
This two-hour course will provide strategies, guidance and plans for surviving an active shooter event.
CRASE is a course that was developed by the ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training) Center at Texas State University, and is now taught nationwide.

“According to the FBI, over half of all active shooter events in the US have been stopped by a citizen,” stated Chief Billy Grogan. “Because of this, it is important that citizens are offered training similar to that which is provided to our police officers.”
