Since taking control of its 911 service, the City of Dunwoody has dramatically lowered response times, according to a 11Alive.com report.
In 2010, it took DeKalb County 4 minutes and 33 seconds to dispatch police and firefighters. Dunwoody was able to cut that number nearly in half, to 2 minute and 21 seconds in 2013.
Firefighter response times were also down, according to the report.

Earlier this week, a Brookhaven woman complained about her difficulty reaching DeKalb County 911. The county blamed the issue on her cell phone provider. The City of Brookhaven is switching to a new 911 system in August.
