Dunwoody Shooting: Trial for Neuman Delayed After Insanity Plea

The trial, scheduled to begin Oct. 17, has been delayed.

After entering a plea of insanity, Hemy Neuman's trial on murder charges has been delayed.

According to the docket for the case, Neuman's trial has been delayed until all psychological evaluations are completed.

The trial has been continued to February 2012, according to the DeKalb County Attorney's Office. A specific date has yet to be set.

report Wednesday afternoon from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution says a court-appointed mental health expert will examine Neuman.

Neuman's attorneys have acknowledged Neuman shot Russell "Rusty" Sneiderman outside a Dunwoody Village day care last November, but said last month he suffered from mental illness.
