Dunwoody Wants New, $20 Million Interchange
The new connector would link Hammond Drive to I-285.

Dunwoody officials have proposed a new road to help alleviate traffic congestion around the Perimeter Business District.
According to CurbedAtlanta, officials want the new, $20-million connector to link Hammond Drive directly to I-285.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle says the new road is projected to siphon off as many 700 cars off Hammond Drive during peak traffic hours.

Already planned for the area are $1.1 billion worth of changes to the I-285/Ga. 400 interchange.
Officials says the project would also provide pedestrian access from both planned and existing developments to the Dunwoody MARTA Station.
