The annual International Dinner at Dunwoody HS is back again! The Spanish5 class has worked hard and long to make this year a memorable one. The week of cultural activites students participate in during school culminates into a big event on Friday night. The theme is InterNational Treasure, so come ready to discover the cultural treasures from around the world in our own community. Students will perform acts including ethnic dances and songs in foreign languages. If you are daring, be a part of our International FearFactor! Tickets are $6 at the door. Proceeds and donations go to Dikembe Mutombo Foundation and Japanese Red Cross.

John Corigliano’s setting of Dylan Thomas’ Fern Hill captures the fleeting wonder of youth and memory, while other works illuminate the landscapes, challenges, and joys of the human journey. Through these voices, we traverse dirt roads and footpaths alike; celebrating adventure, honoring responsibility, and connecting through the shared experience of life’s winding journey.Some roads are simple stretches of earth; some paths have been walked for centuries. Dr. Stanley Roberts recalls growing up on a dirt road in South Georgia, where the rhythms of life, the care of the land, and the quiet lessons of daily travel shaped who he became. Decades later, he wandered the footpaths of England’s Lake District – trails crossing fields, villages, ancient walls, and hidden gardens – where every step invites reflection, wonder, and discovery. These paths are more than routes from place to place; they are metaphors for life itself. On some days, we wander freely, delighting in the scenery, the sounds, the unexpected turns. On others, we are called to care for the path, to guide, to mark the way for those who follow. Life, like a footpath, asks us to journey thoughtfully, to notice the beauty around us, and to leave the path a little clearer than we found it. Recognized as one of the premier professional choral ensembles in the Southeast, the choir features some of the region’s most talented vocalists and is known for polished performances that celebrate unique and intriguing programming. With a repertoire that spans the breadth of choral literature—from early music and time-honored classics to new works—Coro Vocati showcases a diversity of musical styles and cultural backgrounds. Casa Nuova Italian Restaurant host its annual Community Block Party—a celebration of gratitude for 28 years of friendship, loyalty, and support from the Alpharetta community. This festive event is open to all and promises an afternoon full of joy, including a complimentary buffet, live music, family-friendly games, and so much more.
In addition to the festivities, the Block Party also serves a higher purpose: supporting ongoing efforts in the fight against pancreatic cancer, a cause close to the heart of Casa Nuova owner Maria Fundora, founder of the nonprofit Purple Pansies.
