Concert Series at Dunwoody UMC presents Jazzical: A Marriage of Classical and Jazz featuring pianist Joel Martin.
Jazzical is a music genre which fuses classical and jazz traditions, creating a sound both "new and authentic".
Jazzical Spirit Concerts feature hymns, sacred classical, gospel, and spiritual pieces selected by Martin. In Martin’s words: “The Jazzical Spirit Tour is part of my mission to highlight through music the spirituality that exists in all of us regardless of our backgrounds. It is meant to bring people together. We all have songs on our lips and hearts, and some tunes truly resonate through our beings no matter our differences. Jazzical: Spirit! is a celebration of music, our humanity, and our spirituality.”
