
The classic tale about a kingdom in search of a princess gets a southern twist when puppeteer Lee Bryan presents his original production, "Princess and the Pea, y'all" Saturday, Feb. 18, at the . The 10 a.m. performance is a benefit for the Dunwoody-based charity, The Tim Redovian Memorial Fund.

Lee Bryan is a nationally recognized touring artist known as "that puppet guy," who combines live vocal characterizations and songs with innovative puppet designs for wholesome family entertainment. "Princess and the Pea, y'all" is Bryan's whimsical take on the classic Hans Christian Andersen story about an imaginary kingdom that learns to not "judge a book by its cover." The 45-minute show, featuring hand puppets, rod puppets and a demonstration of puppetry styles, is ideal for ages Pre-K through five and families.

The Tim Redovian Fund was established in memory of Dunwoody's Tim Redovian, a gifted young actor who lost his life to a rare respiratory disease. The fund provides scholarship awards to talented students of the performing arts in drama, dance, voice, instrument and technical theatre. Since 1998, more than $231,000 has been awarded to deserving students. TRMF is a 501(c)3 non profit organization.
