Five Things to Do This Weekend (Oct. 7-9): Jazz, Pumpkins, Plays and Fitness

Welcome to "Five Things You Need to Know for the Weekend," a Dunwoody Patch column that sifts through the long list of events competing for your time to offer our pick of five things worth doing with your time off.

1. Head out to the . The church is selling pumpkins every day of the week. Hours Friday at 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m.

2. Chill out with some Jazz. The , which features pianist Joel Martin. Jazzical Spirit Concerts feature hymns, sacred classical, gospel, and spiritual pieces selected by Martin. The event starts at 4 p.m. Sunday and costs $10.

3. Go see The Last Romance. The about senior citizens. Shows are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Stage Door Theater. Tickets are $26 for adults; $24 for seniors; $22 for students; and $12 for children (under 12).

4. Take your knitting to the next level. The at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, which includes individual classes, starting Friday at 9 a.m.  

5. Register for fitness for yourself and children. Registration is open at All Saints Catholic Church this weekend for , , and .
