Follow #Dunwoodypolice in 24-Hour Tweet-A-Thon

Police departments worldwide are going to harness the power of social media on Dec. 19.

Dunwoody residents can follow along as the city’s police officers go about their duties – and share the details on Twitter – for 24 hours straight.

The Dunwoody Police Department says it will join law enforcement agencies from around the world to take part in a Global Police Tweet-A-Thon that starts at 8 a.m. this Friday, Dec 19.

The goal of the tweet-a-thon is to bring attention to the use of social media by law enforcement agencies, police say. All participating agencies will use the hashtag #POLtwt and #TimeToUnify to create awareness about police work and promote the use of social media in policing.
