Great Escape Does Happy Hour: $4 - $6 Appetizers at Chequers Seafood Grill

Looking to unwind at the end of a long day? For the next few weeks, the Great Escape column will feature local Dunwoody restaurants and their weekday drink and food specials. The feature continues with Chequers Seafood Grill.

Travelers waiting at the Dunwoody MARTA station have Chequers Seafood Grill to blame for the mouth-watering smell of grilled seafood and meats lingering in the air. Located at the corner of Hammond Dr. and Perimeter Center Pkwy NE, just across Hammond from the MARTA station, Chequers not only offers mouth-watering smells, but also, fresh seafood specials and tempting deals.

Weekdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Chequers offers drink and happy hour specials on the patio and at the bar. With multiple $4, $5 and $6 appetizer options, there are starters, ranging from flatbreads and sushi rolls to shrimp and mussels, to please every palate and wallet.  They also feature 1lb. lobsters at cost. Drink specials include $5 house wines and $5.95 martinis and handcrafted cocktails, like the strawberry basil mojito and caramel white Russian. On Wednesdays, they offer specialty martinis for $5.50.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, Chequers offers a “Fashionably Early Menu” from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. More fashionable than the typical early bird, this three-course menu offers three first-course choices, six entrée choices and a variety of dessert options, all for $19.50.
