Great Escape Does Happy Hour: $6 Food & Drink Menu at Fleming's

Looking to unwind at the end of a long day? For the next few weeks, the Great Escape column will feature local Dunwoody restaurants and their weekday drink and food specials. The feature continues with Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.

Fine dining without the excessive cost? Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in the Perimeter Place Village Shopping Center, across Perimeter Center West from Perimeter Mall, offers a great option for eating well within a reasonable budget.

Try Fleming’s “5 For $6 ’Til 7” bar menu, featuring a special menu of five appetizers, five cocktails and five wines by the glass — each priced at $6 and served nightly until 7 pm.

Included in the $6 cocktail list is their 99-calorie summer specialty drink called a “Skinny Sexy Sailor,” made with iced tea, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, sugar-free syrup and lemon. The appetizer list includes tenderloin carpaccio, calamari, mushroom ravioli, seared ahi tuna and Cajun barbecue shrimp. There’s also a bonus $6 option of a prime burger with cheese & bacon. Paired with Fleming’s 2 for $6 Amstel Light beer deal, that’s $12 well-spent.

This summer, Fleming’s is offering you a Friday night happy hour deal that helps the local community. The events are held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday nights with each week donating 20 percent of the proceeds to a different featured nonprofit organization.

Tickets for the "Summer of Giving" are $25 per person, reservations are recommended, and include hors d’oeuvres with perfectly paired wines on the restaurant’s newly refurbished patio. As if helping a worthy nonprofit and getting delicious food & wine were not enough, each attendee will get a $25 gift card for a future visit.
