Mark your calendars for the 31st Annual National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

The Dunwoody Police Department is partnering with Target for the event designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for local anticrime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals to let them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Target will be handing out free food outside the parking lot between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Dunwoody Police will also have special equipment on display, including a patrol car and Segway and SWAT vehicles.

DeKalb County Fire and over 15 local businesses and special interests groups will be on hand at booths for information.
