Lauren’s Run was founded in 1992 in memory of Lauren Zagoria, a three-year old girl from Atlanta, and continuing in memory of Lauren Kochman, a girl who lost her battle with neuroblastoma at only 20 months old.

Since its beginnings, Lauren’s Run has raised almost $3.3 million for pediatric cancer research, and is a Peachtree qualifier.

"For 22 years, the one-day event of Lauren's Run and the CURE Annual Picnic has been so important. We are grateful for the community support which helps us provide critical programs for patients and families and fund research to find a cure for pediatric cancer," said Kristin Connor, Executive Director of CURE Childhood Cancer www.CUREChildhoodCancer.org

"It is awe-inspiring that our tiny, precious girls have made such an impact on the world they left behind. Being part of creating a living, loving legacy by helping other children in my child’s memory has truly been and continues to be a welcome solace. My family and I are so deeply touched by the support, energy, and positive spirit of CURE Childhood Cancer, sponsors, community and beyond," said Janis Zagoria, mother of Lauren Zagoria who was about to turn 3 years old when she lost her life to pediatric cancer."

"We are looking forward to the upcoming Lauren's Run because every year it gets bigger & better. In addition to seeing runners who come back year after year and the enthusiasm and hope of the families and volunteers who join the run and picnic -- for me, my most meaningful experience is seeing how excited and involved my children get. I am so proud as they honor their older sister whom, sadly, neither of them ever got to meet," said Heather McGee, mother of Lauren Kochman who passed away from pediatric cancer at the age of 20 months.
