Man Collared for Carrying a Loaded Concealed Weapon

Some trouble went down Sunday night at North Peachtree Place Apartments on the city's east side.

It started with a Dunwoody Police officer checking a suspicious male who was walking through the apartment complex.

The male tried to flee, but the officer grabbed him as he ran off, police say.

Turns out the man - unidentified by police - had a loaded gun in his waistband. He was suspected of carrying a concealed weapon.

The handgun, as it turned out, was determined to be stolen out of Decatur. That put another charge on the man for receiving stolen property, police say.
