MISSING: Boston Terrier Stolen from DeKalb County Home

The owner's two-year-old daughter keeps asking where "Boomer" is.

A television, jewelry and iPad are not the only things missing from a DeKalb family’s home after a break-in and robbery on Friday.

The family is desperately searching for their 11-year-old Boston Terrier, Boomer.

According to DeKalb County police, the home, located at 2154 Brownings Trace, Tucker, was broken into sometime during the day on Friday when the family was away.

“My granddaughter who’s two keeps going around saying, ‘Boomer. Where’s Boomer?’” Kelly Marriott, the mother of Boomer’s owner, told Patch in a phone interview.

“He’s been with us since he was a puppy,” Marriott said. “He’s not a valuable dog. I can see if he was worth something, but he’s not. Not to anyone but us.”

Boomer is a black and white Boston Terrier (pictured above). He is blind, deaf and has cataracts, making his eyes blue.

Boomer was taken along with his crate and blanket, Marriott said.

“My daughter and my two-year-old granddaughter are heartbroken. The dog is a beloved family member, and we would love to have him back,” Marriott said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Officer Senter with the DeKalb County Police Department at 770-724-7740.

The family is offering a reward for Boomer’s safe return. If you have seen him, please call Kelly Marriott at 404-468-1187.
