New CAC Dunwoody Office is Open! Grand Opening Event Feb. 28!

The Community Assistance Center’s new Dunwoody branch office opened on January 14, 2020! Join us for a grand opening event on Friday, February 28 at 9 a.m. with Dunwoody Mayor Lynn Deutsch. The grand opening will include a ribbon cutting and an open house. The public is
welcome.

The location offers access to families who live in that area, particularly those with no car, to CAC services.

The CAC Dunwoody branch office is located at 5 Dunwoody Park South, Building 5, Suite 113, Dunwoody GA 30338. The office is just north of I-285 off N. Shallowford Road and is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Call the Dunwoody office at (770) 552-4015 ext. 700.

Services available at the Dunwoody Office by Appointment:

• Appointments for assistance evaluation for financial, food and clothing*
• Mini Food Pantry for prequalified Dunwoody clients*
• Register for seasonal programs: Summer Lunches for Kids, Tools for School, Adopt-a-Family, Holiday Food and more
• Information available on all CAC services such as adult education, the thrift shop and free tax return preparation and more

*Large groups please continue to visit CAC’s main office at 1130 Hightower Trail and the main food pantry at 8607 Roswell Rd.

CAC expects to serve about 400 families a year at the new Dunwoody branch office. Overall CAC serves 6,500 individuals from 3,000 households a year. CAC assists individuals and families experiencing unexpected financial crisis from situations such as a job loss or other reduction of income, illness, medical emergency, divorce or catastrophic situations such as fire or flood. CAC also serves individuals and families trying to make ends meet on fixed incomes. CAC’s service area
of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody are currently home to an estimated 33,815 citizens living with yearly incomes below $45,000 for a family of four.

This is CAC’s second branch office. The first CAC branch office was opened in 2018 in south Sandy Springs at 120 Northwood Dr, Suite 234, Sandy Springs GA 30342. CAC’s headquarters for assistance, adult education and the business office remains at 1130 Hightower Trail, Sandy
Springs GA 30350. The CAC Food Pantry and Upscale Thrift Shop are located at 8607 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs GA 30350.

CAC provides basic needs to prevent homelessness and hunger and promotes self-sufficiency. CAC serves neighbors in need in the cities of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody and other parts of DeKalb County served by the Dunwoody High School district.
