What makes a great picnic? Fried Chicken, a bottle of chilled Rose, and a few good friends is a perfect combination for a really enjoyable picnic. In this case, we had two bottles of Rose, one from France and one from California, so we had a little taste comparison. Both were quite good, but we decided that, although comparable in style, the 2019 Justin Rose from the Central Coast of California was just a tad better, but what a wonderful time during this new era of restrictions, to have a day outdoors with friends!

The Justin Rose reeks of cherries, strawberries, and melon. The favors are bright and crisp, with apple, cherry, and a whiff of strawberry. The taste is clean and refreshing, with barely a touch of sweet fruit to balance out the moderate acidity. The alcohol content is 13.5%, and Norm's score is 89.
