Police Blotter Jan. 15-21: Burglaries, Street Robbery, Concealed Weapon Arrest

Burglary

• A burglary was reported at a residence on the 600 block of Lake Ridge Lane on the night of Jan. 15. Two LG LCD televisions, a Bose surround sound system, an Apple MacBook Pro, a Sony Playstation 3 and games, a Rolex watch and clothing. The estimated value of the stolen items was $11,700.

• A residence on the 4800 block of Macbain Lane was reported burglarized on the morning of Jan. 16.  Three rings, a camera, a Rolex watch, a Cartier necklace and cash were reported stolen. The total value of the stolen items was $7,252.

• A flat screen television worth $1,000 was reported stolen from a residence on the 100 block of Perimeter Center East on the night of Jan. 16.

• A burglary was reported at a business on the 200 block of Perimeter Center Parkway on he night of Jan. 16. Nothing was reported stolen in the initial police report.

• A burglary was reported at Chequers, 236 Perimeter Center Pkwy. in the early hours of Jan. 18.

• An iPad worth $600 was reported stolen from a residence on the 6100 block of Peachford Circle on the afternoon of Jan. 20.

 

Mugging

• A robbery by gun was reported on the 4400 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road on the afternoon of Jan. 18. A man was robbed of $2,100 cash.

 

Carrying a concealed weapon

• A 23-year-old Atlanta man was arrested at Target, 100 Perimeter Center Pl. in the early hours of Jan. 19 for carrying a concealed weapon. The man, an employee at Target, was seen removing a Glock 23 from his waistband and putting it into his locker, police said. In an investigation it was learned that he’d allegedly  previously made indirect threats to management, police said.

 

Shoplifting

• A 22-year-old Decatur woman and an 18-year-old Decatur man were arrested on the afternoon of Jan. 16 for allegedly trying to steal clothing worth a total of $135 from Dillard’s at the Perimeter Mall.

• A 28-year-old Alpharetta woman was arrested on the night of Jan. 16 for allegedly trying to steal jeans, leggings and shirts from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall. The stolen items were valued at $158.50.

• A 44-year-old Sandy Springs man was arrested on the afternoon of Jan. 17 for allegedly trying to steal $170 in clothing from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall.

• A 40-year-old Huntsville, Ala. man was arrested on the night of Jan. 17 for allegedly trying to steal two Polo jackets worth a total of $280 from Dillard’s at the Perimeter Mall.

• A 27-year-old Cape Coral, Fla. was arrested on the afternoon of Jan. 18 for allegedly trying to steal two pairs of sunglasses worth a total of $115 from Dillard’s at the Perimeter Mall.

• A 63-year-old Atlanta man was arrested on the afternoon of Jan. 18 for allegedly trying to steal three bottles of Usher cologne worth a total of $175 from Dillard’s at the Perimeter Mall.

• A 52-year-old Atlanta man was arrested on the morning of Jan. 19 for allegedly trying to steal a bottle of Arm & Hammer detergent worth $16 from Target, 100 Perimeter Ctr. Pl.

• A 22-year-old Roswell man was arrested on the afternoon of Jan. 19 for allegedly trying to steal $210 in clothing from Macy’s at the Perimeter Mall.

 

Theft

• Stella & Dot jewelry was reported stolen from a mailbox on the 2200 block of Dartford Drive on the evening of Jan. 21.

• An STC cell phone worth $500 was reported stolen from a gas station on the 6900 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard on the afternoon of Jan. 20.

 

Car theft

• A maroon 1997 Chevy Tahoe was reported stolen from the 4000 block of Dunwoody Park in the early hours of Jan. 18.

• A blue 1996 Chevy Suburban was reported stolen from the 1000 block of Crown Pointe Parkway on the morning of Jan. 18.

• A red 1997 Lexus SC400 was reported stolen from the 4400 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road on the night of Jan. 20.

 

Car break-ins

• A Sony digital camera, books and a backpack were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4500 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road in the early hours of Jan. 16. The stolen items were valued at $800.

• A Motorola laptop, a laptop bag and a passport were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1000 block of Crown  Pointe Parkway on the afternoon of Jan. 18. The stolen items were valued at $1,420.

• A Dell laptop and a Samsonite laptop bag were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Perimeter Center West on the afternoon of Jan. 19. The stolen items were valued at $1,140.

• A Taurus 9mm handgun, an Amazon Kindle Fire, computer hardware, a passport, a Lenovo laptop, a check book, school supplies and headphones were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1200 block of Hammond Drive on the night of Jan. 20.

• A Dell laptop, a laptop bag and a suitcase were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 200 block of Perimeter Center Parkway on the afternoon of Jan. 21. The stolen items were valued at $1,675.

• A window was reported broken out of a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Perimeter Center Place on the morning of Jan. 16.

 

Forgery arrests

• A 49-year-old Conyers man was arrested on charges of forgery,  marijuana possession and obstruction, for allegedly using fraudulent credit cards on the 4300 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road on the night of Jan. 20.

• A 38-year-old East Point man was arrested on charges of forgery on the afternoon of Jan. 18, for allegedly trying to pass a forged check for $1,350 at Wells Fargo, 4750 Ashford Dunwoody Rd.

 

Vandalism

• A trash can valued at $100 was reported vandalized on the 1200 block of Ashford Parkway on the afternoon of Jan. 19.

 

False imprisonment

• A 31-year-old Dunwoody man was arrested on the night of Jan. 18 on a charge of felony false imprisonment with a knife. Police were called to the 2300 block of Dunwoody Crossing on a domestic dispute call.
