Shoplifting Suspect Gives Unique Response to Police

Don't miss the Dunwoody Police Department's social media response.

DUNWOODY, GA -- Police recently responded to a shoplifting call where a woman was walking around the store with a shopping cart and taking grocery bags out of her purse. She then loaded her groceries into the bags before putting them back in the shopping cart.

She then rolled her shopping cart out of the store, without having paid for them.

When Dunwoody police questioned the suspect, this is what she gave as her excuse: "I don't like my groceries touching in the shopping cart so I always keep grocery bags in my purse and bag the groceries while I'm shopping. Then I walked out of the store with the groceries to meet my daughter in the parking lot to get the money."
