Storm Looks to Hit Dunwoody During Holiday Travel

Heavy winds and lots of rain likely to cause problems for travelers on the East Coast.

While Georgia won’t see even a hint of a white Christmas, a sizable storm system is gathering that could affect holiday travel from the Midwest to the Eastern Seaboard with heavy rains and wind gusts of 50 MPH.

The storm is not expected to bring heavy snow to the Northeast as winter storm Cato did for Thanksgiving, but flooding on the ground and delays in air travel are expected, according to Weather.com.

Although northern states may experience snow, meteorologists predict a soggy week across DeKalb County, with rain chances starting at 40 percent on Sunday night, increasing to 100 percent on Tuesday, and dropping back to 90 percent on Christmas Eve.
