Student Hit By Car Prompts Police Crackdown at Crosswalks
Dunwoody Police cited 23 drivers for failing to yield to pedestrians Wednesday, and made one DUI arrest.

The case of a Georgia Perimeter College student who was hit by a car prompted Dunwoody Police to crack down on drivers not yielding to pedestrians in crosswalks.
Police say the college student was jaywalking across Tilly Milly Road at Womack Road Tuesday morning when she was struck by a vehicle that had the right of way and green light. The pedestrian suffered a broken leg and head injury. Police said at the scene of the accident she was awake, but could not answer questions by EMS personnel.
So Wednesday morning, Dunwoody officers were out at several crosswalks, including the site of the accident, and others where residents have complained about drivers failing to yield.
