Teen Charged in Fatal Shooting at Doraville Apartment Complex

DEKALB COUNTY, GA - A 16-year-old boy is facing involuntary manslaughter charges for his role in an accidental shooting that took the life of another teenager early Saturday morning.

Police say a group of teens at a Doraville apartment complex were handling a gun when it went off, striking a 17-year-old teenager in the face, reports WSB-TV. The teen was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The complex is located on Meadowglenn Village Lane. The other teens who were involved in the incident range from 13 to 17 years old.

The name of the victim hasn’t been released.
