Vanderlyn Welcomes Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle

Lt. Governor Casey Cagle visited on Tuesday morning as part of National Childhood Obesity Awareness month.

Vanderlyn has enrolled in Cagle's Healthy Kids Georgia program, and the lieutenant governor was welcomed by Principal Noel Maloof and Kelly Dwyer, a physical and health education teacher.

Despite the drizzly weather, Maloof said most students and parents participated in the morning's "Walk to School Day" program, one of four such events it sponsors throughout the school year.
