Key to Awesomeness:

Inspired by previous programs at Fernbank Science Center, the support of the DHS science department and her love of ecology, Kathleen’s winning science project studies the use of one plant to inhibit the growth of another. Focusing on the effect that Dusty Miller has on the growth of the highly invasive English Ivy, this experiment has a practical application in areas where pesticides cannot be used to remove invasive plant growth.
