Atlanta Medical Center Employee Completes Athletic Trainers Program

Cheryl Cundy, MS, ATC, a certified athletic trainer at Atlanta Medical Center, has completed StarTRACKS, a Leadership Development Program through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. This rigorous self-study program requires scholars to complete four components that focus on leadership, managing a nonprofit association, directing their profession, and incorporating the world around them into their professional lives.  In all, there are approximately 40 discrete requirements.

Cundy was awarded a scholarship through the regional division, the Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association, to complete the two-year  program. She has worked as an athletic trainer in the Department of Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Atlanta Medical Center since 2008. As part of the training, Cundy will serve on a committee for the Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association.
