
Chris Locke has joined Atlanta Medical Center as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Locke previously served as COO for six years at Spalding Regional Medical Center in Griffin. During that time, he oversaw construction of a major facility expansion that included a new Womenβs Center and Intensive Care Unit. He also expanded the hospitalβs cardiology service line, including the development and launch of percutaneous coronary intervention services, and implemented a significant cost-reduction initiative to improve operational efficiencies.Β
Previously, Locke was Chief Operating Officer of Wellington Regional Medical Center, in Wellington, FL, and Assistant Administrator of Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL.

Locke has a masterβs degree in health administration from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO, and a bachelorβs degree in psychology from the University of Kansas.
