APD Makes Arrest In Grant Park Shooting Death

Victim was shot to death on the street in March

The Atlanta Police Department has charged an Atlanta man with murder in the March 26 shooting death of another man in Grant Park.

Jeffrey "L'il Jeff"' Deroy Lewis, , who was already in the Fulton County Jail on unrelated charges, faces one count of felony murder.

Police responded to a call involving a shooting around 1:36 a.m. March 26, in the 800 block of Mercer Street SE, near Waldo Street SE.

When they arrived, they found the 18-year-old victim, Delorean Patterson, dead at the scene from several gunshot wounds.
