APD Seeks Public's Help In Identifying Inman Park Armed Robber

One victim pistol-whipped in April 2 incident

The Atlanta Police Department is searching for a man who robbed three people in Inman Park April 2, as they headed to their cars just after leaving a neighborhood restaurant.

The three victims — two women and a man — said they were robbed at gunpoint in the 800 block of Inman Village Parkway shortly after 2 a.m..

The trio, who had left the Albert restaurant, told police they were heading toward their vehicles when they were approached by the gunman who said "give me everything you got!"

The victims complied, dropping their purses and wallets, but the gunman struck one one of the women on the left side of her head with his gun.

He then told them to turn around and run.

The victims ran and heard vehicle start up and drive off.

Emergency medical responders attended to the woman who was pistol-whipped, but she declined going to the hospital, police said.

The other two victims were uninjured.

All three described the suspect as being black, 5-feet-9-inches tall and wearing dark-colored clothing. They also said he had a square shaped jaw, with sideburns connected to a beard but no mustache.
