Arrest Warrant Issued In CItgo Shooting

Police: Four witnesses identify alleged shooter

Atlanta police issued an arrest warrant for Sylvester Hendricks, the man suspected in the Oct. 6 shooting death of Dujon Parker at the East Lake Citgo on Glenwood Avenue.

Hendricks is suspected of shooting Parker, 19, in the chest following an argument, Maj. Johnny Dalton, Atlanta Police Department Zone 6 commander said Monday night at the monthly meeting of the East Lake Neighbors Community Association.

Parker, who was hit in the chest, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Dalton, who said investigators have "four good witnesses" who point to Hendricks as the shooter, said the argument began at a nearby barbershop.

Parker left and went to the Citgo at 2315 Glenwood Ave. SE.

Hendricks came soon after and the argument resumed ending in the shooting.

Parker was the second man shot to death at that Citgo this year.
