Atlanta Firefighters Rescue Man From Burning Home in Historic South Atlanta Neighborhood
Blaze originated in kitchen
A man suffering from smoke inhalation is in stable condition at Grady Memorial Hospital after Atlanta fire officials rescued him from an early morning fire Friday.
The cause of the blaze at 1449 Jonesboro Rd. remains under investigation, but fire officials believe it started in the kitchen area of the single-story, wood-frame home.
Firefighters extinguished the flames in 15 minutes following the 6:25 a.m. call.
