Atlanta Police Arrest Two In Edgewood Laptop Theft

Atlanta police arrested two men in connection with a Nov. 23 laptop and mobile phone robbery at the Caribou Coffee in the Edgewood Retail District.

The two suspects, Demario Kilpatrick, 18, and a 16-year-old juvenile are charged with felony theft by taking. The stolen items were not recovered.

Police say “snatch” thefts of electronic devices in public spaces have been occurring. Owners of these items need be aware of their surroundings and to call 911 to report suspect activity or persons, especially in coffee shops, cafés and other locations with Wi-Fi access.
