Burr and Forman Expands General Commercial Litigation Practice with New Atlanta Attorney

BURR & FORMAN EXPANDS GENERAL COMMERCIAL LITIGATION PRACTICE WITH NEW ATLANTA ATTORNEY

ATLANTA, Nov. 11, 2015 – Burr & Forman announces the addition of Atlanta-based associate Charles “Chase” W. Ruffin to the firm’s General Commercial Litigation practice group. Ruffin assists clients in general business litigation matters and arbitration and, prior to joining Burr & Forman, he was an associate at Baker Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, P.C.

Ruffin represents individuals and businesses in eminent domain disputes against state and local governments and has helped to secure multiple judgments and settlements of more than a million dollars. He also has defended broker-dealers in actions before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and defended health care providers in enforcement actions filed by governmental agencies.

Ruffin previously served as a Judicial Intern in the Supreme Court of Georgia for The Honorable P. Harris Hines.

Ruffin earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law.
