Center for Puppetry Arts celebrates grand opening of new Worlds of Puppetry Museum, November 14

Appearances by Sesame Street's Abby Cadabby, Leslie Carrara-Rudolph, Sockly and more!

The Center for Puppetry Arts will celebrate the grand opening of its long-awaited Worlds of Puppetry Museum on Saturday, November 14; 11 a.m. –6 p.m. Featuring the world’s most comprehensive collection of Jim Henson puppets and artifacts, as well as puppets from around the globe, the new museum offers plenty of entertainment for the entire family!

The day’s festivities will include special guest appearances from Sesame Street’s Abby Cadabby, Leslie Carrara – Rudolph, Sockly and other walk-around Center puppets, food trucks and more! The expanded Museum store will offer puppet paraphernalia for sale, while plenty of photo opportunities will be available to preserve the historical occasion. Along with museum fun, the beloved holiday classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed ReindeerTM will show at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. for guests to kick-off the yuletide season!

Adults wishing to experience the museum sans children are invited to visit from 4-6 p.m. Family crowds are expected to be lighter and the Center will start happy hour a little early with a beer/wine bar for those wishing to imbibe.

All museum ticketing is timed-entry; guests have the option of purchasing all-inclusive tickets or museum-only tickets. All-inclusive tickets, which include museum entry, a performance of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and entry to the Create-A-Puppet Workshop, are $10.25-$14.25 (Members) / $20.50-$24.50 (Nonmembers); Museum-only tickets are FREE (Members) / $10.50 (Nonmembers).
