A D &ML King: Two Brothers Who Dared To Dream: Naomi King: Fulton Leadership Academy

Mrs. Naomi King & Joe Beasley to promote Non violent Social Change Strategies at The Fulton Leadership State-Chartered Academy Boy School.

Who- Fulton Leadership Academy the only state chartered African-American boy school AND a top-ranking charter school (based on our state scores: 2013-14) as deemed by Governor Deal and the A.D. King Foundation.

What- A.D. King Foundation (Mrs. Naomi Barber King and others) will share history of youth non-violence and participate in Kingian activities. This assembly is an extension of the 6th grade literature book- The Watsons Go To Birmingham-1963.

Where- 1706 Washington Road, East Point, GA 30344

When- FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2014 @ 10:00 a.m.

Why- To give students information to practice the new GEORGIA MILESTONES Extended Writing Response-Informational Text. Unlike the CRCT, the Georgia Milestones requires students to produce opinions/arguments – citing evidence from the speaker, text, or media and to use standard language conventions.

Mrs. Naomi King and Mr. Joe Beasley will visit Brazil on November 21-26, 2014 to promote building a beloved community through non violent social change strategies as a way of life and embracing youth development by promotingΒ  education as the key to the future.
