In performances of the two Schubert trios at Spivey Hall and elsewhere,
the masterful Finckel/Wu Han/Setzer Trio gave “an exuberant, eddying
account of the B-flat, then turned the screws tighter for the E-flat,
grabbing listeners, as it were, by the throats” (San Jose Mercury-News). This powerhouse ensemble returns for a highly dramatic work by Shostakovich, and more. Chamber music fans – red alert!
