DEAF ACTORS NEEDED!

Silent Encounters: Art in Body Language is The Artizen Company's Hit immersive reality production. Back by popular demand and casting.

Performers Needed:

  • Male or Female
  • Any Ethnicity
  • Any age (over 21)

Production Dates : May 5 - May 15 (Thur, Fri, Sat, Sun)

Silent Encounter: Art in Body Language is loosely based on the two DEAF characters, Antonapoulos and Singer, in Carson McCullers' The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter. This unique experience explores what happens when ALL language is taken away, and human connection and communication must exist on a physical level. Are truths told best with simple gestures and body language? Are communication and relationships between human beings better off without spoken words?

We are looking for two Deaf experienced actors to portray our two lead characters and two understudies. We also need supporting characters to help fill out this amazing and fascinating world (supporting actors can be hearing). This is a non-equity production. These roles are compensated.
