DST's Decatur Alumnae Chapter hosts a Mental Health Forum, "Healthy Minds, Happy Holidays: Coping as the holidays approach"

The ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Decatur Alumnae Chapter (dstDAC) will host a Mental Health Forum, “Healthy Minds, Happy Holidays: Coping as the holidays approach,” Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Community Achievement Center, 4522 Flat Shoals Parkway, Decatur, GA 30034 from Noon to 2:30pm.

“We understand that the holidays can prove to be a difficult time for those suffering from grief, depression, and stress and want to offer an opportunity for those who might find this time to be challenging to learn the techniques to cope.” said Alanna Hicks-King, dstDAC President.

This year’s event will feature mental health professionals, Nicole King, MD, Daphne Kennebrew, and Willie H. Whited. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen and learn from each featured presenter ways to handle holiday stress and identifying the triggers of depression. The event is free and open to the public.
