End Sexual Violence in Conflict Panel & Discussion, hosted by the British Consulate General

In May 2012, the UK Foreign Secretary, William Hague, and
the Special Envoy of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Angelina Jolie,
launched the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative, with the goal to end the
culture of impunity surrounding the use of sexual violence both as a tool and a
side effect of war worldwide. The British Consulate General in Atlanta is
building on the momentum from the Global Summit in London to draw attention to
sexual violence in conflict and how it relates to Atlanta, recently rated the
sex trafficking capital of the US.

There will be a networking reception prior to the panel with
light food and drinks from 6-7 pm.
