The 8th Annual "Battle of Atlanta Double Quick" 5K fun run/walk will start and finish near where the actual Battle of Atlanta began in the Historic Kirkwood neighborhood.
The race will begin as the battle began with Union troops firing the first shot. Union troop re-enactors will be on hand to start the race on Rogers St. just north of Hosea Williams Drive.
The course starts on Rogers St., turns West on the PATH adjacent to Gilliam Park and proceeds West onto Woodbine Ave, then East on Hosea Williams Dr., veers left at the Kirkwood sign on Hosea Williams then Southwest on Oakview Rd., continuing West as it joins Hosea Williams Dr, turn North on Rogers St., West on the PATH finishing next to Gilliam Park and the B*ATL Encampment.
