Extreme Paint-Over - Graffiti Edition

The City of Atlanta’s Graffiti Task Force kicks-off the city’s first official graffiti removal community event, Extreme Paint-over - Graffiti Edition.  City officials, community partners and stakeholders will pick up paint brushes and cover graffiti with fresh paint on the Hill Street Bridge.  The City of Atlanta Graffiti Hotline number will be provided at the event for citizens to report graffiti vandalism on public property.

The Graffiti Task Force, comprised of various City of Atlanta departments and agencies, Atlanta Public Schools, GDOT, CSX and the Georgia Department of Corrections, will launch a comprehensive graffiti abatement program focused on graffiti removal and public education.

The community outreach includes training sessions on power washing equipment for removing graffiti, graffiti removal kits for small projects, and organizing graffiti removal events.  The Atlanta Police Department’s Community Liaison Unit has an assigned police officer on the Task Force and will exclusively pursue graffiti vandals through investigations and arrests.
