Operation P.L.A.Y., a non-profit organization dedicated to childhood obesity awareness and prevention, will host the 2011 Kid’s Walk and Tot Trot on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Welcome All Park at 9:00 a.m.. The purpose of this event is to encourage families to kick start their summer vacations with physical activity. All proceeds from the event will go toward Operation P.L.A.Y. childhood obesity prevention programs in Georgia.

10:00 a.m. Awards Ceremony
Registration is $35 and includes one child and one adult. Each additional child and/or adult is $12. Registration packets are available online at http://www.operationplay.org/Kids_Walk_2011.html and at Welcome All Park. Registered kids will receive a t-shirt and parents will receive an active summer educational packet. Participants are encouraged to raise funds to support childhood obesity awareness and prevention. All contributions are tax deductible.
