Mod Art with Glue & Glitter

Becky Striepe, creator of Glue & Glitter (glueandglitter.com) and recently voted Best Indie Crafter by Creative Loafing, will be teaching us how to make mod-inspired art from reclaimed fabric and other materials. Becky is a hardcore reuser, and after this, you won't look at your old pillowcases the same way, again! Also, if you're really into Mad Men and 60's-inspired art, this is the workshop for you. Students will go home with an awesome handmade piece of art or piece-of-something tbd by them for only $10*. Most ages welcome and all materials provided (though you can byo if there's a certain fabric/pillowcase you'd like to work with).

Workshop costs $10, which is the price for a one-month WonderRoot membership. When you sign up at http://www.wonderroot.org/membership.htm, be SURE to mention Creative Reuse. You will receive some free take-home supplies for doing that. With that membership, you’ll have access to this workshop plus WonderRoot’s Arts Center Open Access Studio Program, access to other WonderRoot workshops, discounts at Park Grounds Coffee, Sam Flax Art and Supply, Binders Art and Supply and more. For an even better deal, sign up for a 1-year WonderRoot membership for $60.
