Five Things Happening This Week

May 7: coffee shop in Glenwood Park is hosting a lecture at 7 p.m. designed to show motorists how to increase their fuel mileage and decrease vehicle emmissions. Drip is at 928 Garrett St. SE.

May 8: The East Atlanta Community Association holds its May meeting at 7 p.m. in the main assembly room of the Branan Towers building, 1200 Glenwood Ave. SE.

May 9: The city of Atlanta’s Alcohol Technical Advisory Group II will hold its regular bi-monthly board meeting from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Atlanta City Hall in Committee Room No. 2 located on the second floor of 55 Trinity Ave. SW. The public is encouraged to attend. ATAG is tasked with examining and recommending changes to the city of Atlanta’s Alcohol Code, which deals with the licensing of establishments that sell liquor, beer and wine, as well as the enforcement of such laws.

May 10: Monthly meeting of the Fourth Ward Alliance Neighborhood Association at 6:30 p.m, followed by presentations at 7 PM, including an update on the Year of Boulevard and info about some new things happening in the neighborhood. The meeting is AMLI Old 4th Ward, 525 Glen Iris Drive NE.
