FitWit Fitness Camps in Grant Park, Decatur and Midtown hosts a free workout at 6:00 a.m. at Maynard H. Jackson High School, 801 Glenwood Ave. SE. Come experience new fitness challenges, alongside an old or new friend! And you are helping to create a true fitness community as a portion of camp proceeds help fund FitWit's non-profit work: teaching fitness to teens in local high schools.
Saturday, Dec. 31:
Celebrate 2012 at Peach Drop, the largest New Year's Eve party in the Southeast. Enjoy three different stages each with their own special offerings. The Peach Drop Main Stage features live entertainment, fireworks, and the Peach Drop. The excitement begins at 6:00pm until 12:30am with headlining act: Kansas. The fun begins at 11:00 a.m. at 50 Upper Alabama St. SW.
Don't want to be outside? Then ring in 2012 by way of your funny bone. Dad's Garage Theatre Company, 280 Elizabeth St. NE, hosts a show of improv games and scenes and variety acts. The show starts at 8 p.m. and costs $35.
