GEORGIA DETOX AND RECOVERY CENTERS HIRES ADDICTION PRO TAMEKA ELLIS

Georgia Detox and Recovery Centers (GDRC) is pleased to announce that Tameka Ellis has been hired as an Area Recovery Representative. Her territory spans South Metro Atlanta to Macon. She will support the Macon GDRC location which will open in 2015.

Ellis brings more than 12 years of behavioral health experience. Before joining GDRC, Ellis served as a clinician at Ridgeview Institute, Talbott Recovery and WellStar Health System (Drug Treatment Court Program). Ellis’s client population has included families, couples, young adults, recovering professionals, individuals and group therapy. Engaging her passion is working with those struggling with addictive behaviors, Ellis has offered services through the Lawyers Assistance Program (LAP) and has participated on LAP committees.

In addition to providing clinical and counseling services, Ellis also has a strong expertise related to didactic trainings, academia, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), Human Resource consulting, and organizational development.

Ellis received her Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University and resides in Atlanta with her husband and two children.
