Georgia State Clinches CAA Tournament Berth With Win Against George Mason
The Panthers rally to defeat the Patriots in extra innings
The Georgia State Panthers defeated the George Mason Patriots in their regular season finale, 2-1 in 10 innings.
With the win, Georgia State clinches the No. 4 seed in the Colonial Athletic Association Conference Tournament.
Junior pitcher Justin Malone had a phenomenal outing against the Patriots, going eight innings with 11 strikeouts. Fellow classmate, Jake Dyer, came in relief for Malone and got the win for the Panthers.

Georgia State’s bats struggled early in the ballgame as the team trailed 1-0. The Panthers finally got on the scoreboard with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning by senior Carter Sackett, which tied the game up 1-1.
Junior third baseman Brandon Williams won the game and walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning to secure the Panthers third straight trip to the conference tournament.

Georgia State plays James Madison in the first round of the CAA Tournament on Thursday, May 26 at 3 p.m at UNC Wilmington's Brooks Field. The winner of the CAA Tournament earns an automatic bid in the NCAA Baseball Tournament.
