Hit-And-Run Driver Who Struck Atlanta Cop Turns Self In
Decatur man was wanted for weeks
Khalif Edwards, who is wanted on a slew of charges including hitting an Atlanta police officer with his car in Kirkwood, turned himself in Monday, CBSAtlanta.com said.
Authorities had been searching for Edwards since July 21, when they said he allegedly struck Atlanta Police Inv. Patrick Apoian on College Avenue, just off Sisson Avenue.
Edwards, who turned himself in to DeKalb County Police, also faces aggravated assault, aggravated battery, simple battery and cruelty to children charges.

Apoian, who suffered a broken leg and chest injuries, has since been released from Grady Memorial Hospital.
