Know Your Farmers: Oakleaf Mennonite Farm

Every week, East Atlanta Patch, in partnership with the EAV Farmers Market, will showcase one vendor discussing what local means to them.

This week's feature is the Oakleaf Mennonite Farm.

Oakleaf, which operates on part of the property of , right here in East Atlanta, started in July of 2011.

Farmers Hudson Rouse and Bremen James told Patch they welcome visitors to the farm at 1088 Bouldercrest Drive, and are more than happy to share their knowledge with anyone looking to try their hand at growing fruits and veggies in their own backyards.

You can catch them most days on the farm, sometimes at the Midway's own backyard vegetable patch and every Thursday at the Farmers Market.
