Mom Turns In Own Son In Kirkwood Scooter Theft

Suspect is 15 years old

An Atlanta Police Department spokesman said Thursday a 15-year-old was arrested in connection with the July 21 theft of a scooter on Vaughn Street in Kirkwood.

"We are investigating the possibility of his involvement in other scooter thefts," APD's Carlos Campos said.

"His mom saw him on TV and turned him in."

He declined to release further details about the suspect because he is a juvenile.
