Fulton County officials are warning seniors about an alleged program that puts them at risk for identity theft.
County officials received reports of individuals offering senior citizens $500 in stimulus money in exchange for their personal information, including their Social Security number and date of birth.

The individuals contacted the County and asked to do a presentation at one of the County’s Senior Centers, but were turned down.
Seniors are encouraged to exercise caution when sharing their personal information with anyone. Seniors with concerns about possible fraud are asked to call the STAR Line 404-613-6000.
